Grandmother Ama's Legacy

"Every drop of palm oil tells a story, every grain of spice carries the wisdom of our ancestors. Cook with love, serve with pride, and never forget where the flavour comes from."
— Grandmother Ama, 1952

In the bustling heart of Makola Market, Accra, a young woman named Ama set up her modest stall with nothing but determination, traditional recipes passed down through generations, and an unwavering commitment to quality that would define our family for decades to come.

Ama's secret wasn't just in her recipes—it was in her approach. She insisted on sourcing palm fruits from specific regions in the Eastern Region, where the soil and climate produced the richest, most flavourful oil. Her traditional extraction methods, using time-honoured techniques, created palm oil so distinctive that customers would travel across Accra just to buy from her.

Word of her exceptional palm oil and handcrafted snacks spread throughout the city. What started as a single stall soon became the go-to source for authentic Ghanaian ingredients for families who refused to compromise on tradition and taste.
